            In Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, Harry is in the Triwizard Tournament. This book is very adventurous. I recommend this book because it is way beyond good and it is super interesting. I loved reading this book. Does Harry win the Triwizard Tournament? Read to find out!

Dork Diaries: Tales from a Not-so-Talented Pop Star

Rachel Renee Russel

            This book is about a dorky teenaged girl’s life. She struggles through hardships, annoying siblings, and love.

            Nikki is the dork and Mackenzie is the popular girl who despises Nikki. This book relates to real life and the troubles of high school. Her family is not the smartest of them all and her sister is really annoying, just like Mackenzie. It has lots of funny parts in it and makes you laugh. She has two friends name Chloe and Zoey. Her dad is a bug exterminator and her sister believes that her hand is a person.

            I recommend this book to anyone who likes reading funny books and I rate this book four and a half stars. I hope you pick to read this book!

The Emerald Atlas

            Emma is a fun, crazy, fiery temper girl. Michael is a guy who loves fairy tales, his sisters, and especially dwarfs. Kate is the older sister whose number one thing is to keep Emma and Michael safe. The three get stuck in the past trying to find the book that will bring them home.

            I think one of the scarier parts was when they first went to the past and saw the countess doing terrible things to little kids.

            I recommend this book because it has a lot of fun action, suspense, and sibling drama.

            The book I read was Allegiant and the main characters are Tris and Tobias. It’s fun to read because it keeps you thinking, “Did that just happen?”

            I liked the start but I really disliked the ending. I am still mad about the ending. I don’t recommend this book to people who get attached to the characters.

The Unwanteds

            Alex is an unwanted. He had to go to a death farm. Instead, he gets to be artful and spellful at Artime. Alex hasn’t seen his brother so he uses a spell to get to Quill. When people find out about Artime a massive war begins.

            The book was amazing. I learned to never say your mom looks like crud. I would recommend this book because it has so much violence and cool spells.

            The book I read was Strike. The main characters are Tucker, Olivia, Tori and Kent. I really liked how they kept their friendship to the end. I really liked the book but at times it got confusing. It was very fun to read because it keeps you on your toes. I recommend it to people who read and liked Sylo and Storm.

Who was Roald Dahl?

            Roald Dahl is a fun author who wrote a lot of books. One of the books he wrote was Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. He was in the Air Force too!

            Read this book about Roald Dahl to learn more about this interesting author. I liked this book because it was interesting to learn about someone I didn’t know. I recommend this book because if you want to read about a cool author, or a non-fiction biography, this book is for you!

            This is such a good book and there is so much drama because Sasha has a crush, and the best roommate, and a best friend, and, like always, the mean girl who causes so many problems, confliction and madness. At the horse school it is almost winter and a dance where something awesome happens but you have to read the book to find out what. One other thing about the books is that there are twenty of them so the story just keeps going.

My Side of the Mountain

Jean Craighead George

            The characters in my story are Sam, Frightful, Sam’s family, and Matt. I like Frightful best because she is a hawk that gets food for her and Sam to live off of. The plot of this story is Sam runs away from his family to live in the woods and will have to survive, but he finds different sides of him that he didn’t know of.

            I enjoyed this book. My favorite part was when he finds a hawk nest and grabs a hawk right when the mom comes and somehow escapes. There were a lot of cool parts about the hawk, Frightful. The lesson I learned was to never run away from home. I recommend this book to anyone who likes nature and wild life.

Diary of a Wimpy Kid: The Long Haul

            This book is very good because there is a lot of stuff going wrong and Greg gets into big trouble. At the end of the book they solve a problem, but you don’t find out the answer so you will have to read book 10. Manny wins this prize that causes so much trouble.

            Even though I am kind of old for it, I think this is a pretty good book because so much stuff goes wrong and there are some very funny parts. I would recommend this book because there are lots of problems and drama.

Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire

J.K. Rowling

            Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire is a great book. Harry’s name is put into the Goblet and he is entered into the Triwizard tournament. People die in that tournament and there is no backing out. I like this book because it’s fun to listen to Harry’s emotions. This book is different than the first three books. Harry seems more mature and the book is much longer.

            I recommend this book because it is the perfect mix of scary and funny.

Magnus Chase and the Sword of Summer

Rick Riordan

Magnus Chase and the Sword of the Summer is a great book. Magnus finds the sword on accident. He must keep away from people who want to steal it. He, and some of his friends, go on a long journey.

            It’s funny, scary, and I stayed up all night reading. If you like Percy Jackson, you will love Magnus Chase.

Geek Girl

             Harriet is a geek, gets caught by a model. She becomes a model because she thinks it will changer her because she does not want to be a geek because she gets made fun of at school. Harriet does not know how to be a model and is lying to her step mother because she does not want her to be a model.

            I really liked the book. My favorite part is when Harriet likes to go to the laundry place. There were lots of funny parts, like when Liz cuts Somel’s hair off. I recommend this book because it was funny, cool, and awesome.

             In this fascinating biography you will learn about a famous author named J.K. Rowling. She has a very interesting life. I recommend this book because it is a good nonfiction book that contains a lot of information. This is a great book to read.

            I really liked the book. My favorite part was when J.K. Rowling wrote Harry Potter because Harry Potter is my favorite series of books.

              The story I read was Storm. The main characters were Tori, Tucker, Kent and Olivia. There was a lot of drama and kissing. What happens is when they finally get to Portland they find it empty. I like all the action and violence.

            I recommend this book to people who like action and violence. If you want to read Storm you should read Sylo first.

              The book I read is Sylo. The main characters are Tucker and Tori. They make me feel happy about their relationship. In the beginning Tucker and Quince see a flash of light and everything goes wrong. The book is filled with adventure and a lot of near misses. The beginning is more about boy to girl relationship. I really recommend it to people who like action and violence.

            The main character is Raina. She had a dramatic fall and hat to go through a lot of pain. Also, she had to face some difficult procedures. The book made me happy and her little sister is hilarious.

            I typically don’t read graphic novels, because I don’t really enjoy them, but this book really intrigued me.

            The book I read was Insurgent. The main characters are Tris and Four. I liked them but wasn’t a fan of all the fighting between them. Insurgent is telling about what happens after the war. I liked it with all the war parts. The violence did end up pulling the book together. I recommend it to people who have read and liked Divergent.

            Jinx is a curious young boy who has been taken by Syman and is now a servant who is starting to learn magic. Raven was a thief but is now helping out Jinx. Elfwyn is the kind of girl who likes to explore.

            I liked the book. It was adventurous, crazy, fun, scary, strange, awesome book. I recommend this book because of its awesome characters.

            This is a good book because it is a short and funny book. In this book a girl got her two front teeth knocked out. Once she got to school the next day everyone made fun of her and teased her about her teeth. Read to find out what happens.

            My opinion is that this is a serious, yet funny, book. My favorite part is when she has to get braces because, even though she is scared, she faces her fears. One funny part was when she got her other teeth because at first she didn’t like it and then she did. I would recommend it because it is a short and really fun and funny book to read.

Say it Ain't So

             I read the book Say it Ain’t So and I really enjoyed it. The main characters were Lenny, Mike, Other Mike, Maria, and Davis. I like Mike the most because he is very forgiving and encouraging. The plot of this story is when the starting catcher, Davis, gets framed Lenny’s best friend, Mike, gets to start. They will have to find out who framed Davis and why.

 My opinion on the book was that it was great. My favorite part in the book was when Lenny got to pitch in the championship game. I learned to prove something before you say it. I would recommend this book to anyone who likes mystery/adventure.

Mandie and the Quilt Mystery

            Mandie found a quilt in her house’s attic. It has a Cherokee secret message. She goes to visit her Cherokee friend, but nobody wants to tell her what it means. One day the quilt goes missing. Mandie and her friends find it in Riley’s room in the school house. Riley knows what the message is, and is willing to say what it is. He says, “The message means…”

            I liked this book. I liked when the message was told and that there were no scary parts. I learned the Cherokee removal was in the year 1838. I would recommend this because it is mysterious, interesting, and fun.

The Girl who could Fly

            This is a good book because it is a twist on a super hero. It is about a girl, Piper, who gets sent to a boarding school because she can fly. The boarding school is a school for people like her. Once she gets there she realizes it is not what she expected.

            My opinion about the book is that it was a really good book. My favorite part was when they were trying to run away because it had me on the edge of my seat the whole time.
